dc.description | Habitat The species lives in rivers, lakes, and swamps, from fresh water to brackish water at river mouths. They make holes for hiding to avoid predators. Distribution The fish are found in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The distribution area in Indonesia is in Sumatra, Kalimantan and Bangka Belitung. Food It is an omnivorous fish that feeds on zooplankton, shrimp, small fish, and insect larvae. Reproduction The size of the first mature gonads is at the size of 6cm-10.1 cm. The spawning pattern is year-round with a fecundity of 3,100-24,459 eggs. | en |
